At Kinross College, our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework promotes respect, responsibility and success. We recognise and reward positive behaviour while supporting students to learn from their choices.
Good Standing
All students start with 50 points, representing their Good Standing.
Maintaining Good Standing means:
- Following the College Code of Conduct
- Meeting behaviour and academic expectations
Students with Good Standing can access:
- Extracurricular activities
- School events and rewards
- Recognition opportunities
Points may be lost if expectations are not met.
Losing Good Standing
Students enter Provisional Good Standing if points drop below 50.
If points fall below 0, Good Standing is lost.
This may result in:
- Loss of privileges and activities
- Parent/carer notification
- Support plans to help students improve
Recovering Good Standing
Students are supported to regain Good Standing through:
- Behaviour monitoring with clear goals and regular feedback
- Community service to contribute positively to the school
- Consistently meeting expectations to earn points
Rewards & Recognition
Students earn points for:
- Behaviour – demonstrating RISE values
- Academics – effort and achievement
- Attendance – strong and improving attendance
Points can be used in the PBS Shop for rewards and experiences.
