PROGRAMS WE OFFER

ACADEMIC EXTENSION
The Kinross Extension & Acceleration (KEA) Program caters to the needs of talented and gifted students. Earning a position in the program is the key to your child excelling and engaging throughout Years 7 – 10. If your child earns a position in the program they will be grouped with like-minded students and taught a specialised program that will prepare them for Years 11, 12 and University.

LEARNING SUPPORT
Learning Support at Kinross College seeks to provide resources, teaching and learning opportunities with an individualised approach to ensure all students access curriculum (at their assessed level) to reach their full academic and social potential. Our well-resourced and fully trained Learning Support Team, also utilise resources from the Department of Education Special Educational Needs Unit and other training providers to deliver innovative and contemporary support to students.

PASTORAL CARE
Our Student Services Team supports the health and wellbeing of students and encourages a positive school environment. These supports include:
Leadership opportunities for students
Rewarding and recognising academic and cultural achievements
Providing fun activities through our House system
Social / Reward event opportunities through RISE - Year Coordinators
Emotional health and well-being support and guidance
Positive behaviour support
Access to support at school from the Chaplain, Community Health Nurse and School Psychologist

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD
At Kinross College, students can participate and complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award. This is an internationally recognised award that challenges students to engage in four areas:
Voluntary service
Development of a skill
Physical recreation
Adventurous journey
This award encourages students to engage with the community and environment around them, increasing their connection to the world they live in.
