Duke of Edinburgh Award

Duke of Edinburgh Award

At Kinross College, students can participate and complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

This is an internationally recognised award that challenges students to engage in four areas: voluntary service, development of a skill, physical recreation, and an adventurous journey. The award encourages students to engage with the community and environment around them, increasing their connection to the world they live in.

The Duke of Edinburgh operates from the fundamental principle that for all students, learning to engaging with and participating in the community and world around them builds on a student’s sense of identity and supports creating lifelong learners that are informed citizens of the world. The Duke of Edinburgh Award, while not specific to any curriculum meets the cross curricular priorities and has links to the Mathematics, Science, HASS, English and PD/H/PE curriculums.
