Kinross College caters to students in Years 7 to 12, offering an extensive range of courses and opportunities. We consistently monitor the evolving landscape to ensure our students are well-prepared for success beyond school. We hold high expectations for all staff and students, and through our commitment to well-being and achievement, our students thrive.
In recent years, the College has experienced continual growth with expanding enrolment numbers, confirming we are the school of choice within the area. This has resulted in the State Government providing $30 million to expand our already excellent learning and teaching facilities.
Some of the exciting features included in this next phase will be a purpose-built Science, Technology, and Engineering Centre to support the excellence already being achieved in this area. This centre will house the latest resources available, creating a space where students use technology to create and solve new world issues and problems. Robotics, Automation, Coding, Augmented and Virtual Reality will underpin and enhance student learning, central to problem-solving challenges and skill development. A new Sports Hall with a fitness centre, seated Cafeteria, and Commercial Kitchen will also be welcomed additions, along with other specialist classrooms.
We understand that students and parents expect their children to be both happy and safe while in the care of the school. Kinross College is recognised for having one of the best pastoral care systems in education and strives to ensure each child’s experience at school is both positive and productive.
Kinross College has developed a wonderful liaison with its community and has numerous programs and initiatives that bring the community and the College together throughout the year.
The College boasts the largest and arguably the most successful Police Ranger Cadet programs operating in the State, involving some 150 students. This program provides students with many life and leadership skills, while developing strong values, resilience, and meaningful connections.
We also offer gifted and talented programs in an academic stream from Years 7 to 10. Students can experience deeper learning in areas of interest and talent through our Academies in Music, Aviation, Dance, Soccer, Basketball, and Netball.
